Osyp Nazaruk is a bright publicman, writer, publicist. As a writer of him was especially drawn by a historical subject. His look was stopped in particular for two bright figures of the past – prince Yaroslav Osmomysla and famous Roksoliana, and also traveled in the days of Mongolian raids.
In 1930 the World saw his “historical story from a 16 Century" under the name “Roksoliana. Woman of caliph and padishah Suleyman Large, conqueror and legislator”. Osyp Nazaruk died on March, 31 in 1940 in Krakov, where drove out before the prelude of soviet troops of Lviv. Quite a bit from that he wrote, it remained in manuscripts. But also works which saw the world were expected by a sad fate.
After the so-called “liberation” in 1939 of book of writer were withdrawn from libraries and included in the category of nationalistic. The name of Osyp Nazaruk disappeared from literature. Presently a writer and his works go back to a reader.
