Winner of the International competition Ukrainian Ensemble of National music "Dnipro" was started in 1995 with purpose of raising the standarts of Ukrainian folk music and ancestral songs to a professional level, and through this to give an impetus to the futher development of new original forms of folk music.
"Dnipro" tries to blend traditional styles with those of the modern eara. The ensemble seeks to creat its own unique style through the use of unusual combinations of musical instruments, striking effects and surprising forms of musical expression.
The ensemble approaches its music from a wide perspective using more than 30 different types of instruments.
