This CD contains selected recordings of the noted Ukrainian operatic bass Oleksandr Hromysh, soloist at the LVIV State Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet and decorated artist of Ukraine. Oleksandr Hromysh was born on 5 may, 1950, in the western Ukrainian Lviv region.
Oleksandr Hromysh possesses a deep and rich bass, with a colourful lower range and a strong and bright upper register. He prefers the roles of wise and thoughtful heroes, inclined to reflection, self-analysis and introspective emotion. These musical and artistic qualities are amply demonstrated on this disk of operatic excerpts.
