The Ukrainian Folk group "Yavoryna" is one of the leading children and youth associations in Ukraine. It was founded in 1991 at Kyiv Art School.
The Folk group "Yavoryna" has become the prize-winner many times and it is the holder of Grand Prize of the All-Ukrainian and International Folk music festivals.
The repertoire of the folk group consists of lyrical, domestic, seasonal ritual songs, dances, holiday rituals, having been taken down and registered during the folk expeditions round provinces of Kyiv, Chernigiv and Zhytomyr Polissya.
The main aim of the creative activity of this group is to learn, to preserve and proliferate folklore of various regions of Ukraine.
